Farming is always vulnerable to disaster.  Some just don’t understand that agricultural producers are tied to the land in a way that prevents quick evacuation in the face of looming danger, or that they are unable to pick up the pieces quickly when debris is scattered across acres of crops or pastures.  

Come learn a bit about preparing for disasters as they apply to your operation. This presentation will delve into identifying what threats are most pressing in your need to prepare your home, your family, and your farm. We’ll discuss topics like conducting a hazard analysis, and which problems need to be tackled first.

Along the way, you’ll learn valuable managerial tools you can apply to your home base whether you’re doing produce or protein, and are applicable for those who produce fruit, vegetables, livestock, poultry, or niche goods in any state or territory in the US.
